Eagles vs. Cardinals

The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to play in their fifth NFC Championship game in eight seasons against the Arizona Cardinals.

The game will take place in Phoenix, in a domed stadium.

It has been discussed throughout the media world and the football world that the Eagles will defeat the Cardinals and head to their second Super Bowl under head coach Andy Reid.

To be successful in this game, the Eagles must not let all of the hype and talk of them being clear cut favorites to win the game get to their heads.

If the Eagles prepare for the Cardinals the way they prepared for them on Thanksgiving night and the way they prepared for their first two playoff games then they should be victorious on Sunday.

Eagles ‘D’ Did the Job

When the Eagles walked off the field on Sunday as victors over the defending Super Bowl champion Giants, many fans thanked and praised the Eagles defense for yet another strong performance.

The Eagles defense, for a second straight week, dominated their opponent’s offense and their rushing game.

Also, the Eagles defense dominated the Giants offense for a second straight game, especially their running game.

On Sunday, Brandon Jacobs ran for 92 yards on 19 carries while Derrick Ward picked up 46 yards on 12 attemtps.

Eli Manning threw for only 169 yards on 12 completions. He threw zero touchdown passes to two interceptions.

Tight end Kevin Boss was the Giants leading receiver with three catches for 52 yards.

The Eagles completely shut down and dominated the Giants offense on Sunday, making them look nothing like the defending Super Bowl champions.

The Eagles need two more weeks of incredibly strong defensive play to pick up their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history.
