Getting Closer

We are getting closer and closer to kickoff, which is slated for 1pm on Sunday, between the Eagles and Giants.

They are facing off for the third time this season and the series is even at one win apiece for each team.

Sunday’s game is part of the Divisional round of the NFC playoffs.

It was an interesting day in Philadelphia and New York on Friday as Sports Radio 610 WIP in Philadelphia and WFAN the Fan in New York performed a simulcast this afternoon regarding the game.

This is only the fourth time in the storied rivalry between the Eagles and Giants that the two teams have met in the playoffs.

The Eagles knocked the Giants out of the playoffs in 2007 on a last second field goal by David Akers by a score of 23-20 on January 7, 2007; the Giants knocked out the Eagles in 2001 by a score of 20-10 on January 7, 2001; and the Giants won the first playoff match-up between the two teams on December 27, 1981 by a score of 27-21.

Who will win the fourth playoff meeting between the two teams? We will know roughly around 4:30pm Sunday.
