On to New York

The Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday evening in Minnesota, 26-14, advancing to the Divisional round of the NFC playoffs to face the New York Giants this coming Sunday.

This will be the third time that the Eagles will face the Giants in 2008 and are 1-1 against them this season. The Birds are 1-0 at Giants Stadium this season, the only home loss of the year for the Giants.

Donovan McNabb threw for 300 yards and one touchdown; a 71 yard screen pass to Brian Westbrook that put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.

Asante Samuel scored the Eagles first touchdown of the game when he intercepted a pass from Minnesota QB Tarvaris Jackson and returned it 44 yards for the score.

David Akers was 4-4 on field goal attempts.

Now the Eagles must prepare for the number one seed in the NFC and the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants.

There is more coming this week.
