Don’t Take the Browns Lightly

Published by Jim Vassallo at 9:32 pm under Games, General Football, News and Notes Edit This

The Eagles aren’t taking the Browns lightly and they shouldn’t be.

The Cleveland Browns come into Monday night’s game with a record of 4-9 in 2008 and are only a handful of games ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals for last place in the AFC North.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, many of the Eagles players are making sure that they give the Browns their just due.

Even though the Browns are missing both of their starting QBs, Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn, they are still dangerous for unsuspecting and unprepared teams.

Eagles QB said that the Birds must be prepared for the Browns if they were undefeated and must not turn the ball over on offense and must create turnovers on defense to be successful.

One added bonus this week, at least for running back Brian Westbrook, is the return of backup running back Correll Buckhalter.

Buckhalter should be back and ready to shoulder some of the load from Westbrook after missing last week’s game with an injury.
