Dawkins and Eagles Donate Money
Eagles safety Brian Dawkins and Christina Lurie, owner of Jeffrey Lurie, were on hand for the donation of a large sum of money to a Philadelphia park earlier this week.
They presented a check, along with Staples, for $25,000 to the Cohocksink Recreation Center in Philadelphia for renovation purposes of the park.
The money will go towards renovating the center, the park outside and adding new playground equipment and a safer place for kids to gather for after school activities.
Dawkins said that this is a dream come true for some kids because they need a place to gather and throw around the football.
The center was the winner of the Staples Dream Park Challenge.
Dawkins and the Eagles will host the Cleveland Browns on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field.
