Long Week

Published by Jim Vassallo at 12:50 pm under General Football, News and Notes Edit This

The Eagles, after playing Thanksgiving night, have a long week ahead of them in preparation for their game against the New York Giants next Sunday.

They beat the Arizona Cardinals 48-20 at Lincoln Financial Field, where Donovan McNabb threw for four touchdowns and seemingly figured himself out after being benched in Baltimore.

The Eagles now have over a week to prepare for the G-Men, who face the Washington Redskins this Sunday before hosting the Eagles next week.

The Eagles fell to the Giants earlier this season by a score of 36-31 at home.

The Birds have to win out to grab the final Wild Card spot in the NFC, which seems almost impossible to do.

They might be in a better situation if they had not tied the Cincinnati Bengals 13-13 a couple of weeks ago.

Their record stands at 6-5-1. It could be 7-5-0, which would place them a bit closer to the playoffs than they are now.
