Another Embarrassing Loss

Published by Jim Vassallo at 7:46 pm under Games, General Football, NFC, News and Notes Edit This

Well, just when you think things can’t get worse, they do.

The Eagles visited the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and it turned into a rout pretty quickly.

Here are the highlights, err, lowlights:

Donovan McNabb throws two interceptions and losses a fumble.

McNabb throws for 59 first half yards.

McNabb is benched in the second half.

Kevin Kolb, McNabb’s replacement, throws two interceptions (one returned 108 yards for a touchdown by Ed Reed-an NFL record).

Eagles lose 36-7.

The Eagles fall to 5-5-1, ending their 2008 run for a playoff spot.

The Eagles have an extremely short week this week since they play on Thanksgiving night at home against the Arizona Cardinals, who lost at home for the first time Sunday night when they fell to the now 10-1 New York Giants by a score of 37-29.

There is more coming on this embarrassing loss to the Ravens on Monday.
