Westbrook Not Right
Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is not right and his teammates and the team’s fans can notice his struggles.
Westbrook rushed for less than 30 yards in the Eagles 38-31 loss to the Giants this past Sunday and had trouble finding the holes.
Its not only Westbrook’s problem running the football, some of the blame also falls on the hands of the offensive line.
The Eagles offensive line has not been playing up to par during the 2008 season and has had trouble run blocking and opening up holes for Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter, Westbrook’s backup.
Westbrook has been battling injuries all season long, which have limited his ability to cut from the right to the left and to power run through the line.
He hasn’t had many long runs this season and the injuries are starting to take its toll on the Eagles all-around back.
If Westbrook can’t get healthy soon he won’t be able to help the Eagles turn around their season and make a run towards the playoffs.
