Defense Will Be Tested

The Eagles defense will have their hands full on Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

The New York Giants have a lot of weapons on offense, a big reason why they are 7-1 to start the 2008 season, in defense of the Super Bowl title.

The Giants have a more mature, proven, Eli Manning under center to go along with a very dangerous wide receiving core.

Those wide receivers include Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer, Sinorice Moss, Mario Manningham, Domenik Hixson and Steve Smith.

Aside from their receiving core, the Giants throw at their opponents an impressive backfield tandem made up of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs, who is one of the most physically tough backs in the league.

They also have backups that can spell both of the running backs mentioned above that can get the job done in Reuben Droughns, Derrick Ward and Danny Ware.

The Giants also boast one of the best fullbacks in the league with Madison Hedgecock.

The Eagles defense will have their hands full on Sunday night. This definitely isn’t the same offense they saw last week at Seattle.
