Midweek Injury Update

The Philadelphia Eagles announced their injury report for this week’s home game against the New York Giants to be played at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday Night Football.

In a surprising turn of events, tight end L.J. Smith was back at practice on Wednesday and fully participated in the session after suffering a concussion in the team’s win over the Falcons two weeks ago and missing last Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.

Out for practice on Wednesday was cornerback Lito Sheppard. Sheppard is suffering from a groin strain, which he aggravated in the team’s win over the Seahawks this past Sunday.

Running back Brian Westbrook and cornerback Joselio Hanson were limited in practice today with a knee and a hamstring injury respectively.

Shawn Andrews is out indefinitely with back problems after having surgery a couple of weeks ago and will be re-evaluated later this week.

The Eagles have yet to make a roster move regarding Andrews and that could come very soon depending on his latest evaluation.
