Victory Over Seahawks

The Eagles kept pace in the NFC East and overtook the Cowboys for third place within in the division with a 26-7 win on the road over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday evening.

The Birds are now 5-3 on the season and have won three games in a row for the first time all season.

Donovan McNabb was on target all afternoon with his arm and needed to be since Brian Westbrook had trouble running the football.

That was the only problem the Eagles had all day in their rout of the Seahawks.

Tight end Brent Celek, who started in place of the injured L.J. Smith (concussion), had a career day in helping the Birds pick up their fifth victory of the season.

Offensive lineman Todd Herremans caught his first career pass for a one yard touchdown in the second quarter as the Eagles were setup with their goal line offense.

Herremans reported as an eligible receiver out of the tackle spot and was wide open in the end zone for a touchdown.

The Seahawks scored on their first offensive play from scrimmage on a 90 yard touchdown pass from Seneca Wallace to Koren Robinson and did not score the rest of the game.
