Are the Eagles Next?
Now that the Phillies got the city of Philadelphia off its 25 year hiatus from winning a major sports championship, is it the Eagles turn?
The Eagles have never won a Super Bowl but they have won a handful of NFL Championships along the way; their most recent one in 1960.
They came a couple of points short of a Super Bowl title in 2004 when they lost to the New England Patriots 24-21 and haven’t been back to the title game since.
Donovan McNabb is fully healthy for the first time in a handful of seasons and the Birds are trying to make a run into the playoffs and to the Super Bowl to keep this city enamored with its sports teams.
Whatever the Eagles do this season they will more than likely be under the microscope of the city and the fans because of what the Phillies did.
