Hunt Released

Published by Jim Vassallo at 10:15 pm under General Football, News and Notes Edit This

The Eagles announced on Tuesday that they had released running back Tony Hunt.

Hunt originally made the team out of training camp as the starting fullback but the coaching staff was less than pleased with his lack of blocking for Eagles’ running backs and Donovan McNabb.

As a result the team shifted defensive tackle Dan Klecko back to fullback, where he started Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

To replace Hunt on the 53 man roster the Eagles added another linebacker, Tracy White.

That’s right, on the trade deadline day in the NFL the Eagles released a running back and signed another useless linebacker that might see some time on special teams coverage.

The moves by this front office are becoming more and more questionable each and every day.
