Rebound Game?
The Eagles could use a rebound game and this would be the perfect week for that to happen. The Eagles are fresh off an embarassing loss to the Redskins, in which they led 14-0 to start the game and wound up losing 23-17.
Philly travels to San Francisco to take on the 49ers and with any luck will come home with a win.
There is one tiny problem. Actually it is a major problem for the Eagles and their offense.
Running back Brian Westbrook is out against the 49ers and will be missing his second game of the season. This time he is out with cracked ribs instead of the ankle problems.
The Birds need a rebound game big time. They are 2-3 on the season and all three of their losses have come within the conference and one of them has come within the division.
The 49ers have struggled at times this season and can be an easy win for the Birds if they played the way they played against the Rams to open the season.
If the Eagles lose this game they might be in a whole mess of trouble for the remainder of the season. They would be staring at a 2-4 start to the season and in a major whole to climb back out of if they wish to get anywhere close to the playoffs.
