Published by Jim Vassallo at 6:41 pm under Games, General Football, NFC, News and Notes Edit This

The Eagles announced on Thursday that three of their starters, who have played this season, will miss Sunday’s game in San Francisco against the 49ers.

One of those starters is running back Brian Westbrook. This will be the second game in 2008 that Westbrook will not suit up for.

The two other starters to miss this week’s game are offensive guard Shawn Andrews and wide receiver Reggie Brown.

On defense, safety J.R. Reed, not a starter, will also miss the game.

Defensive end Victor Abiamiri, who hasn’t played this season, might be used as a defensive end and as a defensive tackle.

Wide receiver Kevin Curtis is still making his way back from a sports hernia.

The Eagles will need all hands on deck for this week’s game against the 49ers with Westbrook out again.

The Eagles are 2-3 in 2008.
