Eagles Need a Win

The Eagles need a win and that is an understatement.

Following the team’s loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, 23-17, the Eagles are in a bit of a predicament.

They are 2-3. All three of their losses have come against conference opponents and two of their three losses have come against divisional opponents.

The Eagles are 0-2 against the division and 0-3 against the conference in 2008. They need a win and need one desperately.

They travel to San Francisco this Sunday to take on the 49ers, a team that is also in the midst of a slow start.

Donovan McNabb, in his blog this week, said that this Eagles team should be much better than they are right now and the three losses within the conference might come back to bite them in terms of the playoff race. He also said that the team picked up its play when it was too late last season and the team can’t afford to do that again this season.

Week six is upon us and the team needs a win to pull even at 3-3.

Can they beat the 49ers? Honestly, who knows. They should have beaten the Bears and the Redskins but they lost to both teams. The 49ers are a team they should beat so does that mean they will lose to them and fall to 2-4? If so, this city should really start to worry about the Eagles and their commitment to winning.
